Well, today was really the first cruise day. We got on the ship about 1 and got up to our rooms to until about 2 then went to eat some lunch at the buffet. We walked up to the top deck and had a great view of NYC.
Could see the Statue of Liberty and the Freedom Tower. Very impressive. About 5:00 we pulled away from the dock and headed out to sea. This sculpture is at the Newark port - have no idea what it means.
Then we went under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge and were on our way.
While we were at dinner we got a great view of the Statue of Liberty. Sorry - couldn't get a picture. Dinner was very good. Then we headed to the casino and the night got BETTER! Sat down and put a $100 in a slot machine (actual winnings from my last trip to Winstar) and about 20 minutes later cashed out for $805! WOW! At least I am now playing with their money! All is good. Tomorrow is a sea day, we'll see what it brings.
